Miroku . . . . mmmmmmmm, what a hottie!  This guy is incredible.  He's an "Amorous Monk" O.O;; haha and he is a total womanizer.  He's a very funny guy, always making wry remarks and trying to trick people (epsecially women)!  Damn, he could have his way with me anytime . .*cough* excuse that.  ANYWAY, Miroku has a tragic story to tell as well . . .

Miroku's grandfather had a curse placed on his right hand by the demon Naraku (yes, that bastard just loves messing with people's minds).  The curse is passed down to each member of the family, so Miroku has this "Wind Tunnel" in his right hand.  It is stopped by having a piece of cloth wrapped in prayer beads cover the vacuous hole.  If he pulls the beads away and removes the cloth, God help anyone who is in the imiediate area.  You will be sucked in without a trace.  Miroku met up with the gang one day when he spied them travelling.  He kidnapped Kagome, who was confused but not completely angry by this.  Inuyasha followed and Miroku attempted using the wind tunnel on him, but Kagome in desperation flung herself towards Miroku, hurtling in the air towards her death.  To save her life, he quickly covered his hand, saving both her and Inuyasha.  Inuyasha was able to jump out of the way but Kagome was too weak and followed her course, crashing into Miroku.  He woke up in a daze, and Kagome apologized to him and was genuinely concerned for him.  Haha, Miroku asks if she would bear his first child for him . . .

I don't want to do this, but if I must . . .

WELL, as funny as that was, the reason behind it is actually quite tragic.  Miroku watched his father be killed by his own wind tunnel.  For you see, part of the curse is tha the hole in the right hand grows bigger and bigger until eventually, it devours its owner, and Miroku saw this first- hand with his own young, innocent eyes . . . .  Until Naraku is defeated, the curse will continue to be passed on, but if Naraku dies, it all goes away and Miroku can live a peaceful life.  He tells Kagome this (minus the bit about his father) and she wants to help but realizes that his intentions are not as honorable as he makes them out to be.  Miroku is a master at twisting situations to his own benefit, whether it be by pretending that a place is hanuted so that he is paid to bless the house, or by "protecting" princesses in their beds at night . . . then- ENTER SANGO . . .

Not my work, props to the artist. Amazing detail and color.

I won't get into this storyline, I WON'T . . . .damnit, this was supposed to be inscriptions of the GUYS!!  But the women play important parts in the guys' lives.  Real quick- Sango is a beautiful demon slayer who comes from the same village as the priestess who created the Shikkon Jewel.  Sango, her father, her brother, and the other slayers were sent on a mission to destroy a demon at a temple (the master of the temple was actually being controlled by Naraku, but no one knew this).  There, Naraku also possessed her brother to kill the slayers, and so she saw everyone she loved be brutally murdered by her own younger brother.  Then she noticed a possession thread coming out of the master's neck and knew he was the true demon.  She went to attack him, thinking it was him who possessed her brother.  The master (Naraku) ordered their deaths.  But she survived!  The YOUNG master of the templ (who is also Naraku) tended to her, deciding to use her to get to Inuyasha.  Ok, how the hell did I get on this?  Oh right, Miroku!  Wait, what the hell does this have to do with Miroku??!! :P I guess I just love this show sooooo much, haha!  Basically, that's her, and my point was that Miroku sympathizes with her and likes her and hits on her and all that jazz . . .
