Inuyasha.  Half- man, half- demon.  He is . . . . God, how can I begin to describe him?  Ok, imagine every guy that you ever had a crush on, but that would totally piss you off.  It's like, you like him, but the things he does just irritate you so much!  And then he gets irritated by you and before you know it you two are the best example of a love- hate relationship that there ever was.  Well, Inuyasha would be the perfect man for that kind of relationship.  He's so irrisistably cute, with those little dog ears and cute nose and those funny expressions he makes . . .

Uhh, I think I'm going the wrong way @_@

. . . But then he's got this darker, more serious side . . . . he wishes to become fully demon, and to do so he will use the power of the Sacred Shikkon Jewel.  The jewel was formed when a priestess (not Kikyo) forced her own soul out of her body to fend off an evil demon which overpowered her.  She gave her life, her pure heart to protect the people.  Over time, the jewel became tainted with malice, for it can be used for good or evil.  The tragic priestess Kikyo came to possess the jewel, for only she could purify it and protect it . . . .

I don't care . . . I HAVE to get the jewel . . .

All was going well until Naraku came to exist . . . Naraku was a man who was injured, tended to by Kikyo, became infatuated with her, then sold his soul to the demons in exchange for their power.  You see, Inuyasha and Kikyo fell in love, and Naraku, knowing he could never have her, disguised himself as Inuyasha and went to her, promising that if she gave him the jewel, he would use it to become fully human.  Believing it was her lover that requested the jewel, she went to the meeting place with it.  Naraku arrived instead, dealt her a fatal blow, and stole the jewel.  When the real Inuyasha ransacked the village looking for Kikyo and the jewel, she shot him with an arrow, pinning him to a sacred tree, in what came to be known as the Forest of Inuyasha.  She cried, "Why did you betray me, Inuyasha!!!!", and he looked on in horror as she died in a pool of her own blood.
